Very sunny 70 degrees. Hilly course is challenging. Great crowd support, especially the Wellesley girls. The Citgo sign will drive you nuts. Photos/commentary at Marathon Man. If you qualify, you've got to run it!

29 degrees and clear. 400 runners were delayed slightly due to fire alarm at YMCA. Rebel Runners photo with our banner. Tough course, especially the last steep hill. My best time out of 3 at this event. Pizza and pineapples!

New Years Eve? Fabulous 55 degrees and sun. More downhill than up. I ran with an ankle brace and missed my PR by just 8 seconds. Pizza, bananas, bagels afterwards. Several Rebel Runners! Four-time US Duathlon National Champion Greg Watson (16:05) and Action News(WPVI-TV Philadelphia) meteorologist Cecily Tynan both dusted me.

Inaugural run, so I was able to place, even with my slowest 5K time yet. Crisp and clear. Slightly hilly course winding around Delcastle Rec area. Food was adequate. This is the parish I belong to.

Chicago Marathon

Brilliant blue sky. Little wind. Zig-zag though many neighborhoods. Flat (except for nasty hill at mile 25.8). I qualified for Boston!!! Great crowds, good organization and lots of food at the finish---even some Michelob Ultra. Staging area is impressive, covering a huge part of the waterfront park.

Philadelphia Distance Run

Perfect conditions. Cool and sunny. One area was muddy because river had flooded overnight. Many PR's including myself. 10,000 muddy runners.

Great race for sightseeing Paris. 30,000 runners with small percentage of women. Some narrow streets. Mainly flat. Cool and cloudy, just the way we like it! Nice crowds. I PR'ed by 10 minutes!!! Reunion area was chaos. Many Rebel Runner photos Adieu!

10 miler. Horrible conditions-- cold, wet, slushy. Under 200 yards of dry pavement the entire way. Very slippery, so it was tiring. Long hill added to the misery. Over 300 nuts ran the race.

New York City Marathon

Grand and majestic. Slightly warm, with sunshine. Huge crowds cheered wildly for me (and P. Diddy). Awesome experience. Verazanno Bridge was fun with fireboats saluting below, and helicopters taking photos overhead. Well organized. This race is a must. See photos

Humpys Marathon

Anchorage, AK

No spectators. And no moose either! Nice and cool. Course winds through a park along the coast for some nice scenery. Only around 220 marathoners plus half marathoners and 5K runners on same 3-loop course, which caused some confusion but compensated for dismal crowd. See pics at my site. Alaska is awesome!

Dublin Marathon

Dublin, Ireland

Cool and misty. Some hills. Circular loop around Dublin. 8,000 runners and walkers. Spirited spectators. Lots of high fives! Instead of a medal, we got a wall plaque. See pics at my site
